Buechert: Ahora tenemos una nueva energía con los clientes existentes
CEO of Eleven Inc, Courtney Buechert restructured his agency to secure gender equality within the organization. Since 2012, when he attended the first 3% Conference and listened to Kat Gordon, he realized that it was time for real action. “At the time, Eleven had talented female employees in many key staff roles, nearly 50% of the team members” he explained. But the problem was staring us in the face. “We had no females in management, no female creative directors and no female partners. We had never meant to perpetuate gender bias, and yet here we were. We werent the company we had set out to be and we needed to check ourselves.” The first step they took was at management level, partnership structure and checking the compensation program. Three years later, 50% of management, creative and creative director roles of Eleven are held by women. “The first significant result of diverse talent in creative leadership: more diverse creative solutions to client problems. Its obvious, but it is reason enough to ensure that women play important roles at the creative management” he said. “Now we have a new energy from existing clients and a marked increase in success in new business.” “By making ourselves a place where gender equality is a priority, we have begun to create a more welcoming culture for diverse talent” she concluded.
